FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Buying original art should feel exciting and easy. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out anytime.
Are your paintings original?
Yes. Original paintings are one-of-a-kind works created by me in my studio using oil paint on canvas or wood panel, unless otherwise noted in the listing.
What is the difference between an original and a print?
An original painting is the handmade, one-of-a-kind artwork itself.
A fine art print is a high-quality reproduction created to preserve the color, detail, and atmosphere of the original painting at a more accessible price point.
Is the artwork ready to hang?
Yes. Original paintings arrive ready to hang.
- Small works include a claw hanger mount
- Paintings larger than 9 x 12 include hanging wire installed
Is framing included?
Most original paintings are sold unframed unless otherwise noted.
Gallery-wrapped canvas pieces have finished painted edges, allowing them to be displayed beautifully without a frame.
All fine art prints are sold unframed so you may choose a frame that best suits your space.
How do I choose the right size?
A painterly landscape or floral can feel very different depending on scale. If you're unsure, I’m happy to help.
Send me a wall photo or the dimensions of your space, and I can offer guidance.
Will the colors look the same in person?
I do my best to photograph artwork accurately. Because screens vary, colors may appear slightly different in person.
If color is especially important for your space, I’m happy to send additional photos or video before purchase.
Do you accept commissions?
Yes — I currently accept select commissioned work.
If you are interested in a custom painting, please reach out with your ideas, preferred size, and timeline.
How are prints packaged?
Prints are carefully packaged in a protective sleeve with a backing board and shipped in a rigid flat mailer.
How are original paintings shipped?
Original paintings are carefully wrapped, padded, and boxed for safe delivery. Higher-value works may be insured and may require signature confirmation.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Local pickup is available in Wichita by arrangement. I’m also happy to bring purchased work to the Old Town Farm & Art Market when possible.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact me within 10 days of delivery and include photos of the artwork and packaging. I will work with you to arrange a refund, replacement, or exchange.
Can I ask questions before purchasing?
Absolutely. If you would like additional photos, video, or help choosing a piece, I’m always happy to help.
How should I care for my artwork?
Keep artwork out of prolonged direct sunlight and avoid high-moisture areas. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth.
Final Note
